This seminar will cover some of the key fundamentals for successfully gaining gallery representation, and fulfilling the obligations of the artist/gallery collaboration. We will touch upon the different business models of galleries, contracts, exhibitions/art fairs, inventory, sales, and models for pricing/editioning work. Participants are encouraged to ask questions—no question is too big or too small.

Working with Galleries is devised and delivered by Debra Klomp Ching, Co-owner and Director of Klompching Gallery, New York, in collaboration with a panel of experts, including Daniel Aycock, Founder and Director, The Front Room Gallery, New York; Catherine Couturier, Owner and Director, Catherine Couturier Gallery, Houston; Mia Dalglish, Exhibitions Director and Curator, Pictura Gallery, Bloomington, IN; and Gordon Stettinius, Owner and Director, Candela Gallery, Richmond, VA.
