Brian Taylor is the Executive Director of the Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, California. Celebrating the 50th year of its historic gallery space, CPA is one of the oldest, longest running non-profit gallery spaces in America. It was originally founded by Cole Weston, Ansel Adams, and Wynn Bullock together as the Friends of Photography in 1967.

Taylor received a BA in Visual Arts from the University of California at San Diego, an MA from Stanford University, and studied the history of photography with Van Deren Coke and Beaumont Newhall while earning an MFA at the University of New Mexico.
