Debra Klomp Ching has been working with photography since the 1980s. She is an experienced curator, portfolio reviewer, private consultant, lecturer, writer, and art dealer. She holds a B.A. with honors in Photographic Studies, and an M.A. in Critical History and Theory of Photography. In addition to owning and running the Klompching Gallery, she is an Adjunct Faculty member of the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She regularly attends portfolio review festivals, including the prestigious FotoFest Meeting Place in Houston, and is active as a juror/judge for photography awards, including Photolucida's Critical Mass and the LensCulture International Emerging Talent Awards (2017), among others. Her writing has appeared in several publications, including PDN, Nahtsellen, Photo-eye Booklist, she has been a guest editor for Photography Quarterly (Issue No. 99), and she is a photo editor for At Length. As a private consultant, she provides creative and professional advice to photographers intending to or working within a fine art context, and to collectors of contemporary photography.
