David Oresick is a curator, artist, Executive Director of Silver Eye Center for Photography, and an Adjunct Faculty Member at Carnegie Mellon University. Silver Eye is a Pittsburgh based non-profit gallery dedicated to promoting contemporary photography as a fine art medium. Central to its mission is the creation of 4-6 innovative exhibitions per year. Silver Eye is also committed to directly supporting artists through fellowships, professional development, and other opportunities for creative and professional growth. David holds an MFA from Columbia College Chicago and a BFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He was a co-founder of the video-art screening series Video Playlist at the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, and was the Manager at Light Work in Syarcuse, New York. He has curated several exhibitions and video art. David has shown his own artwork at Fotofest in Houston, the Antimatter Film Festival in Vancouver, and Blue Sky Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
