Fotografie Forum Frankfurt, Frankfurt, Germany
Founded in 1984, FFF is an exhibition center dedicated to international photographic arts. Celina Lunsford, Artistic Director of Fotografie Forum Frankfurt (FFF), serves as Chief Curator for its exhibition program, and chooses photographers and lecturers for the FFF Academy, a unique program of lectures, discussions and workshops.
In addition to curating for FFF, Lunsford is a curator for RAY Photography Projects Frankfurt RhineMain, a triennial for international photography, which will take place again 2018. Lunsford has curated and written internationally for over 20 years, and can provide first-hand advice for presenting work in an international photo-art context. She collaborates with many different publishers and can provide expertise in editing and presenting work for publications, as well as for exhibitions. Lunsford also advises private collectors, and is currently on the nominating committee for several photography awards.
In 2010, Lunsford was elected to Vice President of the Deutsche Fotografische. The International Photography Festival in Lodz, Poland, invited her to curate their 10th Anniversary in 2011, and in 2007 she curated for the Lianzhou International Photography Festival, in Lianzhou, China. Lunsford has mentored a wide range of international emerging photographic artists through her roles with the 2009 Joop Swart Masterclass of World Press Photo Foundation in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and the 2007 Asia-Europe Foundation Forum for Photographers in both Cork and Dublin, Ireland. She has juried numerous awards, among them the Carmignac Photojournalism Award, Award of the Festival International de Mode et de Photographie Hyères, the European Central Bank Annual Photography Award, and Fotobook Festival Dummy Award, Kassel.
As a curator, Lunsford is always looking for unusual and dynamic bodies of work to consider for exhibition or publication. All genres, except commercial and stock agency style, are welcome.
