Associate Director & Art Critic
Tilt Gallery, Scottsdale, AZ, USA
Ellee Bokharachi is Associate Director & Art Critic at Tilt Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is also an independent curator, educator, and exhibition reviewer. Bokharachi has been a speaker, juror, and portfolio reviewer at many national institutions and festivals, and has been awarded funding for research, travel, special talent, and exhibitions from science and educational institutions. In March 2017, the Huffington Post named her one of the “shapers of the future”.
Bokharachi is a board member of both the Contemporary Forum at the Phoenix Art Museum, and of the Scottsdale Galleries Association. In each of these roles, she helps to develop artistic and educational programs, while continuing to learn about new artists for the diverse programs to which she contributes. Working one-on-one with artists, she provides assistance with portfolios and consults on how to develop ideas, as well as how to approach and propose work to galleries. Her interests include abstract and conceptual art, with a preference for more layered and conceptual photographs. Bokharachi is always looking to broaden the roster of artists that Tilt Gallery exhibits and represents, and hopes to include more artists from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
