Russian artist, poet, and photographer Nikita Pirogov works with image, sound, dance, poetry, and the performing arts. He studied acting and directing at St. Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy, and fine art photography at IED Madrid. Pirogov has participated in exhibitions in Russia, Europe, the United States, and Asia, including The Other Shore, Galleri Image, Aarhus, Denmark (2011); XXI Month of Photography, Bratislava, Slovakia (2012); Russian Photography: Young Generation, FotoFest International, Houston (2012); Relics from the Spaceship, Pingyao International Festival of Photography, Pingyao, Shanxi, China (2017) and others. His works have appeared in publications including EIKON magazine (Austria), Foto & Video (Russia), and European Photography (Germany), among many others, and are held in collections throughout Russia, the United States, and Europe. A selection of Pirogov’s work is available at One Eleven Gallery in Siem Reap, Cambodia, where he currently lives and works.
