Rich Frishman specializes in magnificently detailed and immersive large-format prints. In his series American Splendor, he explores the vernacular landscape of the United States, imagining himself as an archaeologist documenting the future remains of a lost civilization, filled with remnants of the sublime and the mundane. Frishman’s photography is included in numerous private and institutional collections, including the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Texas; the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.; and the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, Fort Worth, Texas. His most recent exhibitions have been at Clark Gallery, Boston, Massachusetts; Berlanga Fine Art, Chicago, Illinois; and the Mpls Photo Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
