BIOGRAPHY

Ewa Monika Zebrowski’s work engages with ideas of place and displacement, memory and time. Her photographic work has been featured in twenty-eight solo exhibitions and more than seventy group shows in Canada, the United States, and abroad. Since 2001, she has produced sixteen limited-edition artist’s books and two broadsides. Her work can be found in many collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Tate Britain, London; the Menil Collection and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; Musée d’art contemporain de Montreal, Canada; and the American Academy in Rome, Italy. She has won numerous awards and recently participated in residencies at the American Academy in Rome, Hauser & Wirth Somerset, and the Emily Harvey Foundation. Zebrowski worked for twenty years in the film industry before obtaining her M.A. in visual arts. The daughter of Polish immigrants, she was born in London, England, and lives in Montreal. Zebrowski is represented by Corden|Potts Gallery in San Francisco, California.
